Cristina Gheorghiță

Legal Partner

Cristina has been in charge of the law office affiliated to TPA Horwath Quintus since January 2004. Cristina graduated from the Bucharest University School of Law in 1994 and holds a Masters of Law degree in International Commercial Law from the University of Houston Law Center (1997), which she attended as the recipient of a Fulbright scholarship.

She is a member of the following international professional associations: the New York Bar, the American Bar Association, the Center for International Legal Studies, Salzburg, Austria, the Center for International Legal Studies in Salzburg, Austria, and the Bucharest Bar.

Cristina has gained a wide range of experience in transactional law after having been involved in several cross-border transactions and provided assistance in direct investments in Romania. She also has significant experience in the following areas: cross-border M&A, general corporate, corporate restructuring, real estate transactions, legal due diligence, public procurement and legal aspects of structural fund accession, privatisation and post-privatization compliance, banking and insurance law.

Together with a team of lawyers, Cristina also represents the company’s clients in court and in arbitration cases in matters of commercial and civil litigation, such as: lawsuits for the recovery of amounts due, bankruptcy and liquidation litigation, shareholder disputes, administrative fiscal claims (fiscal contestations of minutes of control, fiscal measures), challenges to decisions by the contracting authorities in the field of public procurement, labour related litigations, the protection of property and possession rights over immovable assets, etc.
