In partnership with ACCA Romania, TPA Horwath participated at ACCA Day at ASE. The aim of the event was to help students become familiar with the professional demands of being an accountant or auditor by taking part in a business game. Students worked in teams supervised by TPA Horwath staff in which they practiced various different applications using concepts already known to them from their studies. The winning team received an award.
This year’s ACCA Day took place on Friday, 4th March at the Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies (ASE). Hosted by TPA Howath representatives Marilena Tarabuta and Teodora Oros together with our partners from ACCA and ASCIG (the Association of Students in Accounting and Management of Information Systems), the event focussed on a case study of Risk Management and Procedures for Internal Control.
There were as many as 40 students in attendance, each curios to learn more about the opportunities offered by the ACCA professional training programme at a consulting company such as TPA Horwath.
Witnessing the enthusiasm and optimism of people about to embark on their careers comes as a pleasure to anyone working in the field, with the students handling the creative part of the study with complete dedication and providing responsible management solutions.
After the event, the majority of students expressed an interest in participating in the internship programme and becoming part of the TPA Horwath team, in particular in the fields of audit and accounting.
The preferences expressed in the 35 application forms received were as below:
